In July insurance company "RESO" settled record number of insurance events
Arminfo. Since the beginning of the current year the insurance company "RESO" paid 300.2 mln drams on OSAGO. The size of the forthcoming payments amounted to 80.1 mln drams over the reported period.
As the company reported, since the beginning of the year and up to 25 July RESO satisfied 2.2 thsd insurance cases, the record number of which in July during which the company has already served 449 insurance cases.
As representative of RESO Vache Mkhitaryan said, the number of serious accidents is growing much in summer as well as in September. According to the results of 7 months of the current year, the average size of the property damage amounted to 213.7 thsd drams. As for big accidents (damage more than 200 thsd drams), the average sum of the insurance compensation for 7 months amounted to 577.4 thsd drams and small accidents - 109.3 thsd drams.
When commenting on the attitude of drivers to insurance, Mkhitaryan said many of the Armenian drivers are still not aware of the OSAGO conditions.
"Drivers often do not know when they have a right to apply for compensation and when not. They often demand compensation even being guilty", - Mkhitaryan said.
He also added that the compensation process for small accidents last for 2-3 days in the company, and for the big ones - on average 5 days.
