Bank system of Armenia finishes first half-year 2011 with a profit $52.3 mln
Arminfo. According to the results of the first half-year of 2011, gross revenue of Armenian commercial banks amounted to 134.9 bln drams ($365.8 mln), and expenditure - 110.7 bln drams ($300.2 mln). As a result, the banking system finished the first half-year of 2011 with a balance profit 24.2 bln drams or $65.6 mln. As press-service of Armenian Central Bank reported, the aggregate net profit of commercial banks according to the results of the 2Q amounted to 19.3 bln drams ($52.3 mln).
In the structure of gross revenues of commercial banks, the interest rate profits amounted to 81.9 bln drams ($222.2 mln), or 60,7% in the first half-year of 2011. The share of the non-interest profits in the structure of gross revenues over the reported period was 16,3% or 21.9 bln drams ($59.5 mln). In the structure of gross expenses of commercial banks the interest rate expenses in the first half-year of 2011 were 33,3% or 36.9 bln drams ($100 mln.), and non-interest expenses - 34,3% or 38 bln drams ($103 mln).
