HSBC Bank Armenia and MasterCard announce a special three month offer, aimed to encourage non-cash sales transactions


ArmInfo. Cardholders with the highest number or volume of non- cash transactions will be eligible to win one of 100 prizes, provided they make at least 50 sales transactions or purchases/payments of at least AMD 1,000,000 during the period from 01 November, 2011 until 31 January, 2012.

"Cards are the most convenient payment method worldwide, and they are gradually enjoying wider usage in Armenia as well. One of the reasons behind this is the large network of sales and service points providing discounts to HSBC cardholders", - HSBC Bank Armenia Chief Executive Officer Astrid Clifford stated.

Non-cash transactions conducted by HSBC Bank Armenia credit and payment cards totaled AMD 2.7 billion as of 30 September 2011, a 16.4 % increase on the same period in 2010.

Recently HSBC Bank Armenia has resumed acquiring of international VISA and MasterCards and started servicing ArCa cards via its ATM network. The bank has also started to issue chip and pin cards, which provide customers with higher security than cards with magnetic stripe. In addition to 52 standard ATMs, the bank has also launched its first Drive Through ATM on 20A Myasnikyan Street, Arax petrol station this September.
