Insurance company "Nairi Insurance" launches programme of individual medical insurance
ArmInfo. The insurance company "Nairi Insurance" is launching a programme of individual medical insurance, executive director of the company, Gor Khachatryan, told Arminfo correspondent. He also added that at present the pilot regime of the programme has been launched and its main stage will start in 2012.
He specified that the programme drawn out by the company differs a little from the classical programmes of individual insurance and finally supposes making of a corporative contract. "If corporative insurance is based on relationship between the head of an organization and an insurance company, the programme of our company supposes active communication directly with the employees of the organization, which should initiate to insure their own health", - Khachatryan said.
He also added that the new product is foreseen for various groups of consumers, including men and women of different ages even those which are above 65.
Khachatryan said that corporative medical insurance has some privileges against an individual one. The key privilege is that the price of the corporative insurance is available, the insurance policy costs from 35 thsd up to 160 thsd drams and depends on the number of employees and medical services.
The maximal programme, except all the types of extra medical aid, involves all the scheduled and preventive events connected with the health of the population.
He said that similar programmes will make it possible to provide large-scale participation within medical insurance. He thinks that the market should reach such a level when a demand for medical insurance will be formed not by the head of an organization but its employees. In its turn, this will let to form an adequate perception of the product by ordinary citizens, he said.
To note, at present 5 out of 8 insurance companies of Armenia have been dealing with medical insurance.
