New service of Unibank: reception of money transfer to card under UNISTREAM system by customer's call
ArmInfo. Unibank has given its customers an opportunity to receive money transfers under UNISTREAM system without visiting the bank. The new service allows transferring money to the bankcards UNISTREAM, U-Stream+ or VISA and ArCa by means of a telephone call. The transfer to the card is done quickly and simply: the remittee only has to call to the bank by the number (37410) 592233, tell the identification code to the operator, the 16-digit number of the card, and the money transfer will be available on the bank account immediately after this operation is done. The press service of the Bank told ArmInfo that one can receive a UNISTREAM card free of charge at any of the 37 branches of Unibank.
According to the source, the U-Stream+ card with a credit line of up to 150 thsd AMD is also meant for the UNISTREAM customers. According to the loan terms, all the individuals, who have made use of the UNISTREAM system to send or receive a money transfer, can register a card with 100 thsd AMD limit. The offer with 150 thsd AMD credit limit is available for those permanent customers, who have sent or received at least five UNISTREAM money transfers worth no less than 3000 USD within a year. The lack of a negative credit history is a compulsory term for lending.
The U-Stream+ card has preferential terms. The interest rate is 24% p.a., and the interest is added to the amount that the customer has used. One of the key advantages of U-Stream+ is the opportunity to reduce the interest rate by 2 pct points over the second year of the credit agreement. Taking into account that the credit line of U-Stream+ is meant for its own customers, the annual service over the first year will be free, no commission fee is levied for cash withdrawal, and a high interest (5% p.a.) is added to the positive balance of the bank account.
In addition, a UNISTREAM PLUS unified card is offered to the customers for free, which considerable simplifies the procedure and minimizes the time of the transfer execution. The total number of the unified card holders has already exceeded 1 mln people. The geography of the states where the card can be used includes Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Israel, the UEA, and Cyprus.
"Since the moment of creation, the UNISTREAM system has been client-oriented. The new service is an additional privilege for our customers and aims to enhance the quality and convenience of customer service", said Natalia Ter-Gevorgyan, Head of UNISTREAM Service and Control Department.
Today UNISTREAM is the most demanded money transfer system in Armenia and the leader in the market by both the volume and number of the money transfers. Over Jan-Oct 2011 UNISTREAM's turnover in Armenia exceeded $542 mln, having increased by 16.9% as compared with the same period of 2010. The number of transfers grew by 9.5% to 551 536.
