Armeconombank joins UNIstream system
ArmInfo. Armeconombank has joined UNIstream, a system transferring money in USD, EUR and RUR in the CIS and to some foreign countries.
The press service of Armeconombank reports that the bank is already part of Bystraya Pochta, Migom, Contact, Zolotaya Korona, Blizko, Anelik, Intelexpress, Coinstar, Ria Money Transfer, Averse and MoneyGram.
The other partners of UNIstream are ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, Armenian Development Bank, Areximbank-Gazprombank Group, Artsakhbank, Prometey Bank, VTB Bank (Armenia), Ardshininvestbank, INECOBANK, Araratbank and Unibank.
UNIstream is the biggest money transfer system in Armenia. It has almost 50% of the country's market, with plans to increase this share to 80%.
In 2011 its turnover in Armenia amounted to $673mln or 810,100 transfers.
Armeconombank was set up in 1991. 53.4% of its shares are held by the Sukiasyan brothers - the owners of Sil Group.
