In Jan-June 2012 Armenian insurance companies paid $14.3mln in compensation
ArmInfo. In Jan-June 2012 the seven Armenian insurance companies paid 5.967bln AMD or $14.3mln in compensation - twice as much as in Jan-June 2011.
The leader is Rosgosstrakh-Armenia, with 1.7bln AMD paid.
70% of the payments or 4.1bln AMD was obligatory motor insurance - twice as much as a year before. Here too Rosgosstrakh Armenia is the leader.
12% of the payments or 710mln AMD were health insurance - twice as much as in Jan-June 2011. The leader is INGO Armenia.
662.6mln AMD were paid in CNC insurance (led by Rosgosstrakh Armenia), 250mln AMD in general liability insurance (led by Nairi Insurance - 98% of all payments), 74.5mln AMD in insurance against risks to property (20.8% less than in Jan-June 2011).
Some 44,026 insurance events were registered during the period: 20,937 in health insurance, 20,273 in obligatory motor insurance, 1,296 in CNC insurance.
