In April 2013 apartment purchase and sale transactions dropped by 2.5% in Yerevan, by 5.2% in regions
ArmInfo. In April 2013 the real estate market of Armenia saw 15824 transactions (down 2.8% versus March 2013, up 16.7% versus April 2012), the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia told ArmInfo.
The source says that 35.3% (the lion's share) of transactions were made in Yerevan. In the regions the biggest share of transactions was fixed in Kotayk - 11.8 %, Armavir - 10.6% and Ararat - 9.2%, and the smallest share was registered in Vayots Dzor - 1.8%.
In Yerevan 63.7% of purchase and sale operations were made with apartment buildings (down 2.5% versus March 2013, up 4% versus April 2012). In the regions a total of 331 flats were sold in April 2013 (down 5.2% versus March 2013, up 6.1% versus April 2012).
A total of 411 transactions with private houses were carried out in April 2013 (up 4.3% versus March 2013, up 17.1% versus April 2012), of them 87 in Yerevan and 324 in the regions.
