State Committee of Armenian Real Estate Cadastre: Flats in apartment buildings of Yerevan grew in price by 7% over year
ArmInfo. In the first half of 2013, flats in the apartment buildings of Yerevan grew in price by 7%, and private houses rose in price by 5%, says the State Committee of the Armenian Real Estate Cadastre. 1 sq m of housing in apartment buildings of Yerevan cost 270 thsd AMD, and 1 sq m of housing in private houses cost 285 thsd AMD.
Kentron (Center) remains the most expensive community of Yerevan: the average price of 1 sq m of housing in apartment buildings was 426 thsd AMD, in private houses - 474.4 thsd AMD. Nubarashen community had the lowest price of housing - 149 thsd AMD per 1 sq m in flats and 149.4 thsd AMD per 1 sq m in private houses.
In the provinces of Armenia, housing rose in price by 5.3% over year. The resort town of Tsaghkadzor (Kotayk province) remains registered the highest prices - 292.5 thsd AMD per 1 sq m. Dastakert (Syunik province) and Shamlukh (Lori province) registered the lowest price - 8 thsd AMD. Private houses in the provinces rose in price by 4.1% over Jan-June 2013.
To note, estate agents disagree with the Cadastre's data. They say that housing prices in Armenia are inclined to drop as a result of the ongoing economic processes in the country, specifically, the growth in services tariffs and consumer goods prices. Estate agents think that one should not expect any serious changes in the housing market of Armenia in the short-term outlook amid the lack of new economic trends.
