Volume of true credit investments by 30 June 2013 amounts to 1.8 trillion drams, decline from 6,1% to 3,3% for the 2Q

The volume of the true credit investments by 30 June 2013 amounted to 1.8 trillion drams ($4,3 bln), or 67,2% out of assets, taking into account the reserves for possible losses - 1.7 trillion drams. The volume of reserves grew by 15% versus 2012, and twofold versus 2011. The credit investments grew by 14,5% by 30 June 2013 versus 30 June 2012, but fell from 6,1% to 3,3% in the 2Q 2013 versus the 1Q. The aggregate volume of the economy crediting grew by 10,9% versus June 2012, but fell from 6,8% to 0,8% for the 2Q. At the same time, the aggregate volume of crediting of individual persons grew by 20,7% versus June 2012 and 33,2% for the 2Q 2012, but fell from 7% to 4,8% for the 2Q 2013, and amounted to 550.1 bln drams or $1.3 bln, its share grew from 29,4% up to 31% in the credit portfolio for June 2013 versus June 2012.
According to the data of the Ranking of the Armenian Banks prepared by Arminfo, in Jan-June 2013 in agriculture lending grew by 20.9%, in industry by 13.2%, in services by 9%. in construction by 6.3%, in transport and communication by 5.8%, in trade by 3.5%. SMEs received 26% of all loans issued by the banks during the period or $1.1bln. In Jan-June 2013 mortgage lending grew by 10.3%.
The leaders in economy lending were Ameriabank - 129.1bln AMD or 80.2% of all of its loans, VTB Bank (Armenia) - 126.6bln AMD or 61.5%, HSBC Bank Armenia - 116.8bln AMD or 75.9%, Ardshininvestbank - 97.6bln AMD or 63% and Armbusinessbank - 91.3bln AMD or 72.7%.
ProCreditBank had the biggest share of economy lending it total lending portfolio - 98% or 37.2bln AMD, with ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and Mellat Bank registering the smallest shares - 40% and 45%, respectively.
In personal lending the top three were ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank - 96bln AMD or 50.6% of all of its loans, VTB Bank (Armenia) - 77.4bln AMD or 37.6% and Ardshininvestbank - 50.2bln AMD or 32.4%. ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank had the biggest share of personal loans in total loan book - 50.6%, with ProCreditBank registering the smallest share - just 2%.
In Q2 2013 economy lending was increased by 11 of the 21 banks, in Jan-June 2013 by 17 banks. Converse Bank recorded the biggest quarterly growth - 26.1%, BTA Bank the biggest annual growth - more than twice. Anelik Bank registered the biggest annual drop - 20.2%.
In Q2 2013 personal lending was increased by 13 banks, in Jan-June 2013 by 19 banks. Unibank registered the biggest annual growth - 44%, BTA Bank the biggest quarterly growth. ProCreditBank recorded the biggest annual and quarterly drops by 9% and 32%, respectively.
