Areximbank-GPB Group jointly with MaterCard launches special campaign timed to its 15th anniversary
ArmInfo. Areximbank-Gzaprombank Group jointly with MaterCard international payment system has launched a special campaign timed to its 15th anniversary. In the period from September 2 up to November 29, the bank offers MC Standard cards for a validity period of 1 year without permanent balance and payment for service in the cardholder-preferred currency, the bank told ArmInfo.
According to the source, the potential buyers of non-chip MC Standard cards are offered also MC Gold non-chip cards for a validity period of 1 year and 2000 AMD annual payment for service, without permanent balance and in the cardholder-preferred currency. The holders of MC Maestro, MC Standard, and MC Gold cards (customers using POS-terminals and e-commerce service) will get a 1% cash-back when making noncash payments.
The cardholders participating in the given campaign will get bonus points for every noncash operation. The cardholders with the highest bonus points will get precious prizes: iPhone 5, iPad, digital video cameras, iPod, and others. The winners and the awarding ceremony will be announced in December.
By data of the Analytical Review "Armenian Banks in the Card Business" prepared by ArmInfo Agency, Areximbank-GPB Group is among top ten banks in terms of the number of active international cards with over 27,000 cards as of April 1 2013, including 69% Visa and 31% - Mastercard. The bank retains its position in the top ten of banks in terms of plastic card transactions - over 39 billion drams for 2012. The bank is among top five banks in terms of the share of the salary cards in total active cards - nearly 80% as of April 1 2013. Areximbank-GPB Group retained its position in the top ten of banks also in terms of the number of ATMs and own POS-terminals - 76 and 339, respectively as of April 1 2013.
The number of the bank's ATMs grew 31% year over year (both in Yerevan and in the regions) and the number of own POS-terminals grew 32%.
The bank launched issue of local card ArCa in 2012 increasing the number of total active cards to nearly 29,000.
