By the end of 2013 Areximbank-Gazprombank Group to increase its private money transfer turnover by 40%


ArmInfo. In Q3 2013 the private money transfer turnover of Areximbank- Gazprombank Group made up 337.8mln AMD (131.6mln AMD to and 206.2mln AMD from Armenia).

The press service of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group reports that as of Dec 1 2013 the bank's retail money transfer turnover made up 28mln AMD (25.7mln AMD to and 2.3mln AMD from Armenia). By the end of this year the bank is planning to increase its private transfer turnover by 40%.

The bank transfers money through MoneyGram, Anelik, Byztraya Pochta, UNIstream, INTELexpress и Avers, Coinstar Money Express, Ria Money Transfer. It also offers a retail money transfer service through Gazprom-Express as well as a service implying opening of an account and provision of two international cards for ATMs in both Armenia and Russia. Areximbank was set up in 1998. In Nov 2007 80% of its shares were bought by Gazprombank from Russia. In July 2008 Gazprombank's stake grew to 94.15%, in Sept 2008 to 100%.
