Housing in Armenia undergoes no changes in price
ArmInfo. In Oct 2013 versus Sept 2013, the average market price of housing in Armenia grew by 0.2% to 183.8 thsd AMD per 1 sq m. As compared with Oct 2012, housing prices in Armenia were up 3%.
The State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre has told ArmInfo that flats in apartment buildings rose in price by 0.1% to 279.8 thsd AMD per 1 sq m. In Yerevan average price was 272.9 thsd AMD per 1 sq m and in the provinces - 86 thsd AMD per 1 sq m.
In October 2013 private houses rose in price by 0.4% to 188.2 thsd AMD. In the provinces private houses underwent no changes in price from June through Sept. In Yerevan the price was 286.6 thsd AMD from April till late October.
In Yerevan the highest prices of flats were in Kentron (Center) community - 428 thsd AMD per 1 sq m (no changes versus Sept 2013, 2% rise versus Oct 2012). Arabkir ranks next (356.6 thsd AMD). The most expensive private houses were also in Kentron community - 476.1 thsd AMD per 1 sq m (no changes versus Sept 2013, 1.8% rise versus Oct 2012). Arabkir ranks next (383 thsd AMD). The lowest prices of housing were in Nubarashen community, where private houses cost 150.5 thsd AMD per 1 sq m and flats cost 153 thsd AMD per 1 sq m.
As regards the prices in the provinces, the most expensive flats were in the resort town of Tsaghkadzor (Kotayk province) - 292.5 thsd AMD per 1 sq m (no changes versus Sept 2013 and Oct 2012). Abovyan (Kotayk province) and Vagharshapat (Armavir province) rank next - 155.1 thsd AMD and 154.1 thsd AMD respectively. The most expensive private houses were also in the specified towns: Tsaghkadzor (305 thsd AMD), Abovyan (157 thsd AMD) and Vagharshapat (153.1 thsd AMD).
