In Q2 2014 Armenia's insurance companies concluded 230,125 contracts
ArmInfo. In Q2 2014 Armenia's insurance companies concluded 230,125 contracts (30.4% less than in Q1 2014). As a result, on July 1 2014 they had a total of 618,294 ongoing contracts.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia, as many as 44,101 contracts concerned accident insurance. Their number grew by 27.3% as compared with Q1 2014 to 117,061 ongoing contracts as of July 1 2014, with 33,812 concluded by RESO only.
Some 13,228 contracts concerned travel insurance (45.3% quarterly growth to a total of 11,966 ongoing contracts), with INGO Armenia and Rosgosstrakh Armenia having 4,723 and 4,082.
Some 5,338 contracts concerned property risk insurance (20.8% growth to 17,815), with Rosgosstrakh Armenia, INGO Armenia and RESO having 1,848, 1,845 and 1,181.
Some 3,095 contracts concerned automobile insurance (8% growth to 10,851), with 937 contracts concluded by SIL Insurance only. Some 1,941 contracts concerned haulage (10.7% growth to 1,908), with 702 contracts concluded by Rosgosstrakh Armenia only.
In Q2 2014 the companies concluded as many as 155,476 obligatory motor insurance contracts. This is 41.6% less than in Q1 2014. As of Apr 1 there were 424,991 such contracts, with 53,147 of them concluded by Rosgosstrakh Armenia.
Some 439 contracts were concluded in health insurance (89.5% quarterly growth to 15,911 contracts as of July 1 2014), with 249 of them concluded by Rosgosstrakh Armenia.
Armenia's insurance companies provide 16 of 19 existing classes of insurance. INGO Armenia provides all 16 classes, Rosgosstrakh Armenia 15, Sil Insurance, Armenia Insurance and RESO 11 each, Nairi Insurance 10.
