In Jan-Sept 2014 premiums of Armenian insurance companies dropped by 16%
ArmInfo. In Jan-Sept 2014 the premiums of Armenia's insurance companies dropped by 16% to 22.8bln AMD, while their compensation grew by 36.9% to 18bln AMD.
As a result, in Jan-Sept 2014 the companies registered 2.3bln AMD net profit against 339.7mln loss a year before.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia, in Jan-Sept 2014 Rosgosstrakh Armenia collected 8.1bln AMD in premiums (2.3% more than in Jan-Sept 2013), INGO Armenia 5.7bln AMD (5.6% less), Nairi Insurance 3.5bln AMD (28.5% less), Sil Insurance 2.4bln AMD (23.4% more), RESO 1.7bln AMD (66.8% less), Armenia Insurance 1.4bln AMD (7.5% more).
Compulsory third party liability motor insurance made for 58.7% of all premiums or 13.4bln AMD (14.3% more than a year before), health care insurance for 15.6% or 3.6bln AMD (64.9% less), comprehensive automobile insurance for 7% or 1.6bln AMD (9.2% more), property insurance for 6.2% or 1.4bln AMD (12.1% more).
