Artak Ananyan - the New Director General of "Areximbank-Gazprombank" CJSC
ArmInfo. Artak Ananyan has become the new Director General of "Areximbank-Gazprombank" CJSC. The Bank's press-office has reported to ArmInfo that the Central Bank of Armenia made the decision on his appointment on April 1.
Artak Ananyan was born on February 13, 1972. In 1993 he graduated from Yerevan State University / Mechanician, applied mathematician/, holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics. In 1993 - 1997 he worked at Institute of Mechanics of National Academy of Sciences of RA as a Junior Researcher. In 1998-2001 worked at Agricultural Academy of Armenia as an economist. In 1998-1999 Ananyan worked at Central Bank of RA as a Specialist. In 2000-2003 - at "Armagrobank" OJSC -as the Head of Bank Risks Supervision and Coordination of Territorial Units Activity Group, Head of Bank Risks Supervision and Security of Information Flow Group, Head of Internal Audit and Analysis Division, Head of Credit Department - Deputy Executive Director, Acting Member of the Management Board - Deputy Executive Director, Member of the Management Board-Deputy Executive Director. In 2003 - 2010 - "Ardshininvestbank" CJSC - Head of Territorial Management Division, Head of Northern Region Territorial Division, Deputy Director of Credit Department, Director of Credit Department, Director of Strategic Customer Department. Since 2010 CJSC - Director of Corporate Customers Department, Acting member of the Management Board of "Ardshininvestbank". Since December 27, 2010 - Member of the Management Board of "Ardshininvestbank" CJSC.
To note, Armen Khandkaryan was the Director General since the establishment of Areximbank in 1998 till December 2014. Vigen Barseghyan (working since 1998 and Deputy Director General since March 1 2008) was temporarily carrying out the duties of the bank's Director General.
To remind, Areximbank - Gazprombank Group" CJSC has been established in 1998 to support the business and manage financial flows between Russia and Armenia. In Nov 2007, one of the largest Russian banks - "Gazprombank" (Open Joint Stock Company) acquired 80% stake in the bank and increased it to 94.15% in July 2008. In Sept 2008, the bank acquired the remaining 5.85% stake from Raiffeisenbank.
