NASDAQ OMX Armenia calls on the investors to invest in bonds as soon as possible.
Konstantin Saroyan, Chief Executive Officer of NASDAQ OMX Armenia, believes that the yield of the corporate bonds, especially, the USD securities will be dropping. According to him, at the moment the
rates of the corporate bonds are declining and this demonstrates the growing interest and confidence of investors - companies, banks and other financial organizations - in the stock market instruments, particularly, in issuing corporate bonds.
"The specificity of the financial instruments shows that the bigger the demand the lower the rates. Therefore, we urge the investors not to miss the chance to invest in bonds as long as the rates are high," said Saroyan at a press conference on June 12.
To note, the average yield of corporate bonds as of late March 2015 was 10.7% (versus 9.3% in 2014 and 8.9% in 2013), with the yield of USD corporate bonds being 8.1% (dropping dynamics in 2013-2014). In 2014, the average yield of USD corporate bonds dropped at NASDAQ OMX Armenia from 9.1% to 8.7% with further reduction to 8.1% by late March 2015. In 2013 three issues of USD corporate bonds were listed at NASDAX OMX Armenia (2 issues of Araratbank and 1 issue of SAS Group). In 2014 the number of USD issues was five (3 - Araratbank, 1 - SAS Group, and 1 - Shen Holding). By 1 April 2015, the number of USD issues was four (3 - Araratbank and 1 Shen Holding).
