Armenian Banks Pay 22.558 bln AMD Taxes to State Budget for First Half of 2015 with Ameriabank as a Leader

In the first half of 2015 Armenian banks paid 22.558 bln AMD taxes to the state budget, which is by 6.8% more than a year ago. 20.633 bln AMD accrued to profit and income tax. According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, top 100 taxpayers for the first half of 2015 include 15 out of 21 operating banks (versus 11 in Q1 2014).  Top five of taxpayer - banks comprises VTB Bank (Armenia), Armbusinessbank, Ardshinbank, Ameriabank, and HSBC Bank Armenia. 

Ameriabank is the leader among banks and the 13th in the top of taxpayers - 3.444 bln drams tax payments, including 3.385 bln drams profit and income tax.  Then go HSBC Bank Armenia (20th place) with 2.322 bln drams tax payments (incl. 2.110 bln drams profit and incomes taxes), VTB Bank Armenia (24th place) - 2.165 bln drams (incl.  1.193 bln drams profit and incomes taxes), Ardshinbank (26th place) - 2.093 bln drms (incl. 1.918 bln drams profit and incomes taxes). Armbusinessbank rounds out the top five taxpayer-banks (27th place) - 2.084 bln drams tax payments (incl. 1.973 bln drams profit and incomes taxes).

Among top 100 taxpayers are also ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank (36th place) - 1.642 bln drams, INECOBANK (47th place) - 1.225 bln drams, Unibank (54th place) - 1. 079 bln drams, ARARATBANK (61st place) - 945.7 mln drams, Armeconombank (65th place) - 855.7 mln drams, Converse Bank (66th place) - 852.8 mln drams, Anelik Bank (79th place) - 738 mln drams, ArmSwissbank (85th place) - 687.9 mln drams, Arximbank-GPB Group (90th place) - 647.1 mln drams, Armenian Development Bank (99th place) -  546.9 mln drams.

Top 200 taxpayers include Prometey Bank - 146th place (366.1 mln drams), ProCredit Bank (197th place) - 289.2 mln drams. The following banks occurred among top 1000 taxpayers of Armenia: Byblos Bank Armenia (208th place) - 269.9 mln drams, Artsakh Bank - 451st place - 113 mln drams. Mellat Bank - 519th place - 95.9 mln drams, BTA Bank - 527th place - 94.5 mln drams.

According to the Financial Rating of Armenian Banks prepared by ArmInfo, the aggregate accumulated profits of the banking system of Armenia for Q2 2015 totaled 156.2 bln drams. with a 3% year over year decline.  Top five banks by accumulated profits are HSBC Bank Armenia - 29.9 bln drams. Ardshinbank - 25.1 bln drams, Ameriabank - 20 bln drams, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank - 14.6 bln dram and INECOBANK - 12.7 bln drams.
