Heads of recruitment agencies in the country told ArmInfo correspondent that the candidates to the outsiders this year were lawyers, engineers (some specializations), builders, doctors (some specializations), and even, it is not surprising, the salespeople. At the same time, there was a trend in the agricultural field. And yet, recruiters note the decline in the number of published vacancies across all areas without exception
The unstable situation in neighboring countries and the flow of immigrants from Syria, the collapse of the Russian ruble and reducing the number of representatives of SMEs: are the factors that have made
their adjustments in the labor market in recent months. Recruitment agencies say that no one talks about the salary increase. As stated in an interview with ArmInfo the head of the recruiting agency "Aspect" Susanna Shamakhyan, as a result of reducing of the number of SMEs declining traditional demand for sales professionals, many organizations leave the market, and in the operating company often one employee covers two positions: in 2013 by Employers submitted 160 applications in 2014 - 172, and in 2015 to the present day - they received only 86. Despite the difficult economic period, the labor market still demands specialists for the pharmaceutical companies, although the number of companies decreased - says Shamakhyan . In 2015, there was a demand for specialists of agricultural sphere, but, as stated by the head of the agency, in other positions sometimes capturing about 10 responses to the open position, it is very difficult to close the position for the ordinary technician.
According to the director of recruitment agency "Tanger" Nana Heruni, 80-85% of applicants are people with occupation who are in search of a better job with a decent salary. Men and women in the labor market are presented in a ratio of 60-40 (men-women, respectively). "Tanger" noted that in Armenia there are demanded accountants, sales professionals: managers, supervisors, merchandisers and specialty workers
Even amid falling demand from employers there are areas where there is a shortage of specialists. It's all the same IT professionals, constructors, and in the regions - the doctors. As noted in the CareerCenter agency - out of 800 vacancies published 60% are related to programming, 30% - employees of the banking sector and 10% - for employees of international organizations. According to the "State Employment Service" on July 1, 2015 the number of job seekers in Armenia was 85.5 thousand, of which, 58.1 thousand: women and 20.9 thousand: men, instead of last year 72.1 thousand women 51.2 thousand, and men - 20.9 thousand. The number of unemployed job seekers was 87.0%, or 74.4 instead of 91.4% of the last year and 65.9 thous., respectively. The number of the first time job seekers is 49.2% (36.6 thous.), of which the young competitors - 15.3 thous., or 41.8%. The percentage of unemployed job seekers with higher and postgraduate education is 13.3%, with incomplete and Vocational education -19.3%, with initial vocational education - 6.1%. By age qualification, candidates aged 16-29 is 24.2%, 30-44 years - 40.1%, 45-54 - 20.7%, and over 55 - 15.0%.
