ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) jointly with MasterCard international payment system launches "Fly to Rio" campaign, with prize drawing for active cardholders.
As the Bank's press-service informed Arminfo, the campaign started on September 21 and will last till December 31. The prize drawing will be held in January of 2016 online on TV. The prizes are 5 smart watches costing 300,000 drams each, and the grand prize is a trip for two to Rio De Janeiro, the Carnival 2016.
Cirrus/MaestroR and MasterCardR cards issued by VTB Bank (Armenia) owners can take part in the campaign. Customers who will obtain these cards during the campaign duration are also eligible. All those who will use their cards to pay for purchases in Armenia and abroad (including online purchases) for a total amount of 300,000 drams and more will get an opportunity to win one of the prizes.
VTB Bank (Armenia) CEO Yuri Gusev said that this is not the first time VTB bank is conducting such campaign jointly with MasterCard Bank and due to these promotional campaigns the bank clients get opportunity to win prizes and spend unforgettable time in Rio De Janeiro. - MasterCard's managing director for Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan Alexander Dunayev said together with VTB Bank (Armenia) they prepared wonderful prizes for all MasterCard cardholders, and will follow closely and with interest the development of the campaign.
According to the Analytical Review "Armenian Banks in Card Business" by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), VTB Bank (Armenia) retains leadership in terms of active cards. As of 1 April 2015, the number of its active cards totaled more than 401 thsd (24% y-o-y growth), including almost 385 thsd Visa cards (including over 88 thsd pension cards). The Bank became a member of MasterCard almost 2 years ago and issued over 16 thsd MasterCards by April 2015, joining the top ten. The Bank was in the lead by the amount of plastic transactions - over 186 bln AMD over 2014 (33% y-o-y growth). As of 1 April 2015, the Bank had 298 POS-terminals and 157 ATMs. Before 2013 the Bank issued and served Visa international cards. In September 2013, it became a principal member of MasterCard and started issuing and serving Cirrus/Maestro, MasterCard Standard and MasterCard Gold cards. Along with it, the Bank serves ArCa local cards and has its own processing center.
