ArmInfo. The consumer market of Armenia saw 0.1% inflation in Sept 2015 due to 0.6% growth in nonfood prices. The food prices (including alcohol and tobacco) and the tariffs of services underwent no changes.
The National Statistics Service of Armenia has told ArmInfo that in Jan-Sept 2015 the consumer price index made up 98%, including 93.8% for food prices (including alcohol and tobacco), 103.6% for nonfood prices and 101.1% for tariffs of services. In Jan-Sept 2015 versus Jan-Sept 2014, these indices made up 104.7%, 104.,6%, 105.9% and 103.2%, respectively. In Sept 2015 versus Sept 2014, the indices were as follows: 103.3%, 102.3%, 106.1% and 101.6%, respectively. In Jan-Sept 2015 the average monthly decline in consumer prices made up 0.2% versus 0.1% decline a year before.
In nonfood items, footwear grew in price by 0.8%, jewelry - by 0.9%, cosmetics - by 1.3%, art pieces - by 1.4%, stationery - by 1.5%, personal goods - by 1.6%, clothes and knitwear - by 3.3%. In the meantime, detergents dropped in price by 1.6%, fuel - by 0.1%, construction materials - by 0.1%, and medicaments - by 0.1%.
The overall tariffs of services underwent no changes, but the tariffs of communication and public catering services rose by 0.1%, culture services - by 0.4%, legal and banking services - by 0.5%, and
recreation services - by 1.2%.
