ArmInfo. As of October 26, 2015, Armenia exported 64,800 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables versus 38,550 tons over the same period of 2014, the press office of the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture reports.
The source says that 8,500 tons of grapes were exported versus 5,390 tons in 2014. The export of apples totaled 690 tons versus 14 tons 2014 ú«ñπ, the export of pears totaled 1,420 tons versus 660 tons in 2014, and the export of persimmons amounted to 1,016 tons versus 3 tons in 2014.
As of October 26, the republic also exported 9,400 tons of cabbages and cauliflowers versus 1,820 tons in the same period of 2014, as well as 2,972 tons of radish and beet (versus 664 tons a year before), 1,170 tons of tomatoes versus 191 tons a year before, 3,460 tons of cucumbers versus 179 tons a year before, 1,350 tons of greens versus 800 tons a year before.
The Armenian farmers export their products mostly to Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Poland, the UAE, Kuwait and the Czech Republic. 84% of the products was exported to Russia versus 34% in 2014.
