"Rosselkhoznadzor" Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia has published a statement saying it hails the measures taken by Armenia's Veterinary Service within the year to bring the local companies in line with the standards of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Armen Hayrapetyan, the head of the State Food Safety Service of Armenia and Sergey Dankvert, the head of Rosselkhosnadzor, discussed the results of the measures taken to bring the Armenian companies in line with the EEU standards. The sides confirmed that these companies will be allowed to export their products to Russia. They discussed also the issue of certification of the animal products exported to Russia. To that end, Dankvert suggested using the information systems Argus and Mercury as a single information system for the EEU countries. Armenia will weigh that issue shortly.
