ArmInfo. The consumer market of Armenia saw 0.6% inflation in Nov 2015 due to the 1.7% growth in food prices (1.5% growth - alcohol and tobacco inclusive). The National Statistical Service of Armenia has told ArmInfo that the nonfood market saw 0.4% deflation and the tariffs of services remained at the same level. In Jan-Nov 2015, the consumer price index made up 98.2%, including 93.9% for food prices (including alcohol and tobacco), 104.3% for nonfood prices, and 101.2% for tariffs of services. In Jan-Nov 2015 versus Jan-Nov 2014, these indices made up 104.1%, 103.6%, 105.8% and 102.9% respectively, and in November 2015 versus November 2014 - 101.2%, 98.7%, 104.5% and 101.9%, respectively. In Jan-Nov 2015 the average monthly deflation in consumer prices made up 0.2% versus 0.1% inflation in Jan-Nov 2014.
The November inflation on the food market made up 1.7% (exclusive of alcohol and tobacco). Vegetables grew in price by 27.5% (down 9.4% versus Nov 2014), eggs - by 2.8% (down 19.1% versus Nov 2014), dairy products, granulated sugar, coffee, tea and cocoa - by 0.1-0.5%.
In the meantime, alcohol and tobacco dropped in price by 0.2%, fish products and confectionary - by 0.1%, and the cereal products and soft drinks underwent no changes. Oil and fat fell in price by 4.7%
versus Nov 2014 and by 0.5% versus Oct 2015. In November 2015, fruits dropped in price by 5.1% (down 15.7% versus Nov 2014). In November meat products dropped in price by 1.2% (down 1.4% versus Nov 2014).
As regards the nonfood items, in November 2015 detergents fell in price by 1.7%, cosmetics - by 0.9%, stationery - by 0.4%, gardening implements - by 0.2%, medicaments - by 0.1%, footwear - by 0.1%. In
the meantime, fuel and kitchen implements grew in price by 0.1%, carpets - by 0.2%, construction materials - by 0.3%, textile and jewelry - by 0.4%, household electric appliances - by 0.6%, furniture
- by 0.7%, pieces of art - by 1.1%. Petroleum and diesel fuel fell in price by 2.1% and 1.7%, respectively (down 7% and 7.5% versus Nov 2014), dropping by 9.3% and 10.6%, respectively, in Jan-Nov 2015.
In Jan-Nov 2015, the tariffs of services rose by 1.2%, with no changes in November. The tariffs of household and public catering services grew by 0.8% and 3.6%, respectively, while the transport
tariffs dropped by 2.3% (due to 9.6% fall in the prices of air tickets), with the culture and tourism tariffs falling by 0.6%.
