ArmInfo. The 3.1% reduction in precious metal prices in Armenia is mostly due to the downward trend in palladium and platinum prices.
The State Depository of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Armenian Finance Ministry has told ArmInfo that on January 18-22, 2016, the following selling prices were fixed for the precious metals: gold (bullions) - 17004.68 AMD per 1g (0.2% growth over week), silver - 216.68 AMD (down 0.9%), platinum - 13151.0 AMD (down 4%) and palladium - 7518.32 AMD (down 7.7%).
By the international stock exchanges' data for January 22, 2016, the spot price of 1 gold ounce is $1097.6, silver - -$14.21, platinum - $824 and palladium - $503. International experts say that in 2016 the gold market will be stable, with the average gold price being $1050 per 1 ounce versus $1160 per 1 ounce in 2015.
