ArmInfo. Insurance sector of Armenia paid 1,775bln drams in 2015, which is 10.3% less than a year ago, of which 1.685bln drams was profit and income taxes.
According to the State Revenues Committee of Armenia, Top 1000 taxpayers in Armenia for 2015 included all the 6 insurance companies operating in the country. The leader was Rosgosstrakh-Armenia - 203rd place with 576.6 mln drams taxes, of which 548.1mln drams were profit and incomes taxes. Then goes INGO Armenia insurance company - 262nd place with 452.7mln drams, of which 422.2mln drams were profit and income taxes. RESO Insurance Company took the 505th place paying 213.8 mln drams, including 203.3 income and profit taxes. Sil Insurance Company took the 583rd place with 182 mln drams, including 173 mln drams income and profit taxes. Armenia Insurance Company took the 601st place with 177.4mln drams, of which 171.6 mln drams were income and profit taxes. Nairi Insurance Company was the 619th with 173.5 mln drams, including 167.3 mln drams income and profit taxes.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia, the aggregate accumulated profits of the insurance sector for 2015 totaled 2.453bln drams with a 92.5% growth year on year. Four out of total six companies operated with profits in 2015. Armenia Insurance Company was the leader with profits - 1442bln drams. Then goes Nairi Insurance - 906.3mln drams, Rosgosstrakh-Armenia - 778mln drams, INGO Armenia - 665.9mln drams, Sil Insurance and RESO - 535.2mln and 804.7mln drams, respectively.
According to the Central Bank of Armenia, the exchange rate totaled 483.75AMD/1USD on Dec 31 2015.
