ArmInfo. New team of Eurasian Economic Commision (EEC) under Tigran Sargsyan's chairmanship will allow meeting the challenges of the next four years more efficiently and consistently, member of the Collegium (Minister) on the main directions of integration and macroeconomics of EEC Tatyana Valovaya announced at the teleconference Moscow-Astana-Yerevan held on February 8.
EEC has new team since February 1, 2016. Tigran Sargsyan has been appointed as the chairman of the EEC Collegium on a four-year term by the decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on the level of presidents. At the moment of Armenia's joining EEU, he held the post of the Prime Minister of Armenian Government.
"Significant changes have taken place. Earlier when the EEU had only three member countries, each country appointed three representatives in the Collegium. Now, when the number of members reached five, there are two representatives from each country. As a result Collegium has a compact format of 10 people, which basically allows tackling all the challenges, which the structure meets", the minister explained.
To recall, Armenia became a full member of the EEU on Jan 2, 2015. Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are also member s of EEU.
