ArmInfo. Shareholder of "Armenia" new air line company Tamaz Gaiashvili denied the rumors about the Prime-Minister's relation to this company during today's meeting with journalists.
"I can say with conviction that neither the Prime Minister nor anyone else from the Armenia's authorities is in the list of the founders of the company", he stated. According to him, these rumors are spread by those people who want to do harm to the startup company. "Such talks may first and foremost do a lot of harm to Armenia's interests", he stated. As Gaiashvili thinks the country is in complex geographical position. Taking this into account, Armenia does not have any other alternative than the development of aviation, he noted. To note, according to the rumors spread in the Armenian mass media Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has 50 % shares of the company.
To recall, the founders of the "Armenia" air carrier are Ashot Torosyan (51% stake), Tamaz Gaiashvili (24%) and Robert Hovhannisyan (25%). Tamaz Gaiashvili is the founder of the Georgian "Airzena" company and the former chairman of the company's Board of Directors. The new carrier "Armenia" will launch regular flights on April 21. The first flights will be conducted to Tel Aviv and Moscow.
