Economy Minister discusses with IFC investment programs in Armenia

ArmInfo. On March 18, the Minister of Economy of RA received the delegation headed by the Regional Manager of South Caucasus of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Jan van Bilsen.

As the press-service of the Economy Ministry informs, the Minister expressed gratitude to IFC for the support in many important projects in Armenia, highlighted the role of IFC in Investment environment reforms in Armenia and expressed willingness to continue effective cooperation with IFC.

Congratulating the newly appointed Minister, Jan van Bilsen represented the activity of IFC implemented in Armenia, mentioning the programs including private business sector, spoke about the investment policy, inspection reforms, as well as about the importance of SME development and initiatives in investment environment reforms. The law on foreign investments is being developed in order to create more favorable conditions for foreign  investors.  At the end of the meeting Artsvik Minasyan and Jan van Bilsen expressed willingness to deepen the cooperation.
