ArmInfo. As of 1 Jan 2016, the State Depository of Precious Metals and Precious Stones Agency of the Armenian Finance Ministry contains about 90kg of gold and 873ct of diamonds, Armenian Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Safaryan said at the Government's meeting on March 31.
He said that the content of silver is nearly 94.1kg, platinum - 3kg, palladium - 1.3kg, rough diamonds - 762ct, emeralds - 256ct, pearls - about 103kg.
As of 1 Jan 2016, the total value of the precious metals and stones, as well as items made of precious metals and stones was 1,465,886,532.0 AMD. The total value of the precious metals at the State Depository of Precious Metals and Precious Stones Agency was as follows: gold - 235.9 mln AMD, platinum - 4.2 mln, and palladium - 9.3 mln AMD.
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan expressed his concern over possible spoilage of the cultured pearls. He stressed the need to talk to the specialists and to think of well-time sale of the pearls.
