ArmInfo. The dates of suspension of Armenian NPP for a planned repair and refueling will be changed, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Areg Galstyan told journalists on April 13.
According to him, the dates will be changed in 2017: from October-November to May. This will allow Armenia using cheaper electricity both from Armenian and Georgian HPPs, which in its turn will lead to refuse from using expensive electricity from thermal power plants.
In March 2014 the Armenian government made a decision on prolongation of Armenian NPP exploitation term till 2026. The project will be financed through a Russian 270 mln USD loan and 30 mln USD grant.
