In March 2016 subsidized amount of electric power tariffs was by 37 mln AMD more than in February 2016

ArmInfo. In March 2016, the electric power tariff amount subsidized by the Armenian Government and Tashir Charity Foundation totaled 537.4 mln AMD, 37 mln AMD more than in Feb 2016, the press office of the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources reports.

As compared to Jan 2016, the amount of subsidies increased by 90 mln AMD. 571,000 household consumers made use of the subsidies (43 thsd more than in the previous month). In March 2016, over 514 mln AMD was allocated for subsidizing the tariff for the households, 35 mln AMD more than in Feb 2016.   

To recall, by the Armenian Government's decision dated 29 Oct 2015, monthly subsidies are provided to the consumers using up to 250 kWh of electricity, as well as to SMEs consuming up to 500 kWh. The subsidization process will last till July 31, 2016.
