ArmInfo. 300 specialists and 50 companies in the IT sector and engineering have expressed their willingness to contribute to development of the Military Industrial Complex. The latest events on the Armenian border demonstrate the need to support the development of the Military Industrial Complex, Karen Vardanyan, Chief Executive Officer of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE), said at a press conference on April 29.
He said that the Government should issue the relevant order for that. On April 29, the meeting at the Armenian Defense Ministry will cover the scenarios of settlement of the specified tasks.
Earlier, the UITE press office has told ArmInfo that under its knowledge mobilization project new groups specializing in information and communications technologies and high technologies have been set up. The groups are specializing particularly in encrypted communication means, detection and neutralization of unmanned aircraft systems, system of automatic control of army units, information counteraction to war, and creation of offensive weapons.
UITE was established in 2000 through merger of a number of companies to protect the economic interests and boost the IT-sector. The founder companies are "Migma", "Algorithm", "Link", "ArmSoft", "Arminco" and "Sedit".
