producing their own products and investing in scientific research and experimental activities grows year-by year and this proves that IT field of Armenia besides being an outsourcing market for foreign companies is becoming also center of technological development, Armenia's Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan expressed this opinion
during the international "IT Outsourcing and Investments" conference in the field ofinformation technologies, the press-service of the government informs.
"Armenia's investment policy conducted based on liberal principles is aimed at integration into world economy. Currently there are a number of beneficial trade regimes, qualification of workforce is on due level, export is not being taxed, and there is no export quota. Besides, Armenia is leading among the CIS countries in terms of economic freedom and business operation and international rankings
given to the country testify to this", he noted.
The Prime Minister added that around 70% of the products of Armenian IT companies are being exported. 79.5% of the products are exported to the USA and Canada, 10.8% to Europe and 8.4% to Russia and CIS countries. Taking into consideration the success of the field the government will continue its policy aimed at IT field development in Armenia, Aprabahmyan stated.
