ArmInfo. Shant LLC, more commonly known as Shant TV, will be exempted from VAT payments for the next three years. The relevant decision was taken at the Government's sitting on September 15.

Acting Minister of Economy Artsvik Minasyan said that under an investment project the company will introduce an innovative broadcasting system, spending 2.45 bln AMD, including 390 mln AMD for acquisition of up-to-date equipment. The project implies creation of 90 jobs with an average salary of 190 thsd AMD in 2016, 195 thsd AMD in 2017, and 200 thsd AMD in 2018.

As of today, 65 companies make use of the given program with a total package of investments of 43 bln AMD. The program envisages creation of over 6 thsd jobs. The preliminary findings of the monitoring demonstrate creation of 5025 jobs. The program has been implemented since spring 2009.
