ArmInfo. Localz (Armenia) has won a 2016 WITSA Emerging Digital Solutions Award, which will provide the company with an opportunity to participate in the World Congress on IT to be held in Brazil on October 3-5, the company's press office has told ArmInfo.

"Out of hundreds of companies, only 7 have become winners and we are glad to be among the best ones," says Artavazd Sokhikyan, co-founder and director of the company. 

The company's participation in the international congress in Brazil will provide an opportunity to discuss IT problems with representatives of more than 80 countries. It is noteworthy that such a congress will for the first time be held in Armenia in 2019. 

To note, the Localz app developed by Armenian specialists is an online platform, which enables tourists to choose one of the available tours or create a tour themselves. The tourists receive the price offer from the guide, who is ready to conduct that tour. The tourists have an opportunity to compare different price offers and choose the most convenient one by paying for the service online. The entire operation will take no more than 30 minutes. The guide and the tourist can also communicate through an in-built messenger, which makes it possible to discuss the details of the tour beforehand. The platform is available either as a website or as a free app for iOS and Android.
