ArmInfo. Armenia's Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received the members of Union of Information Technologies Enterprises and Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies, the press-service of the Armenian government informs.
The Prime Minister stressed the role of developing IT field's potential and noted that he expects for proposals from the meeting participants related to the government's steps, which will assist in creating competitive IT products and implementing long-term efficient programs.
The members of the Unions presented to Karen Karapetyan the current programs and the existing problems in the field. They also made their proposals. Particularly, the importance of organizing seminars on entrepreneurship, creating groups, establishing technological university and regulating legal framework was stressed.
The Prime Minister especially emphasized the importance of developing the system of technological education, noting that it is necessary to pay most serious attention to preparing human resources and their availability in the country's regions. The Prime Minister stressed the role of IT field for developing of all the fields of economy. He pointed at the fact that the field may become driving force for the country's progress.
