ArmInfo. In Jan-Aug 2016, the revenues of the communication sector of Armenia amounted to 102 bln AMD (down 7.9% versus Jan-Aug 2015). According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, telecommunications secured 95% of the total revenues, or 97 bln AMD (down 7.8% versus Jan-Aug 2015).
The source says that in Aug 2016 the total revenues of the communication sector grew by 1.7% to 13.4 bln AMD. Telecommunications secured 12.8 bln AMD (up 2.7% versus July 2016). As compared to Aug 2015, the revenues of cummunication fell by 11.9% (12.3% decline in telecommunications).
For comparison, in Jan-Aug 2015 the revenues of the communication sector of Armenia totaled 111.7 bln AMD (down 6.3% versus Jan-Aug 2014), with the share of telecommunications being 106.1 bln AMD (down 6.8% versus Jan-Aug 2014).
