ArmInfo. Armenia's Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has presented asset and income declaration to the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials of Armenia.
According to the declaration Karapetyan owns two cars: Lexus LX 470 and Tayota Land Cruiser 100 4.5 I. It is also noted that the Prime Minister owns 4 apartments and a summer cottage.
As of the day of his appointment Karapetyan owns securities and investments amounted to 50 mln drams, besides he has three wristwatches, the cost of which exceeds 8 mln drams.
The Prime Minister also mentioned in the declaration $3.7 mln, 850 thousand EUR, 120 mln drams and 55 mln Russian Rubles. Since Jan 1 Karapetyan received income in Russian Rubles, which totaled 32 mln 898 thousand Rubles.
To note, between 1996 and 1998, Karapetyan worked as Deputy Director and CEO at Armenergo. In 1998-2001, he headed Armenergo. In 2001, Karapetyan was appointed Deputy Minister of Energy of Armenia. In 2001-2010, he worked as Chairman of the Board and CEO at ArmRusgasprom CJSC. In 2009, he was given membership in the Yerevan Council of Elders by the list of the Republican Party of Armenia. On December 17, 2010 he was elected as Yerevan Mayor and held that position until October 28, 2011. In December 2011, Karen Karapetyan was appointed First Vice-President of Russian Gazprombank, and in November 2012 he became Deputy General Manager for strategy and development at Gazprom Mezhregiongaz LLC - Gazprom's subsidiary. In 2013 he became a member of the Council of Areximbank-Gazprombank Group.
