ArmInfo. Armenia is ready to cooperate with Brazil in the field of agriculture, Armenia's Agriculture Minister Ignatiy Arakelyan stated at the meeting with Brazilian delegation headed by Brazil's Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply Eumar Novacki.
According to the Minister Armenia is interested in bilateral activation of investment framework and is ready to provide assistance to all the entrepreneurs and organizations, which will show interest. "Armenia can cooperate with Brazil in various fields of agriculture and we are ready to discuss with our Brazilian partners any investment proposal", the Minister noted. He expressed hope that the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in August 2016 will give impetus to development of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture, which in turn will lead to mutual growth of agricultural production.
Eumar Novacki in turn stressed that Brazilian entrepreneurs express big interest in establishing business ties and expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture, however lack of information hinders wide-scale cooperation. In order to solve this issue the sides decided to hold mutual visits of specialists from various fields aimed at experience exchange.
In this context Ignatiy Arakelyan stressed the importance of organizing consultations and trainings for Armenian specialists.
The interlocutors discussed opportunities for creating Armenian-Brazilian joint enterprises in the field of agriculture. The Brazilian side proposed to organize a visit of a group of Armenian agrarian experts to Brazil.
