Second stage of loan PIU optimization  starts in Armenia

ArmInfo. The second stage of  loan PIU optimization is intitiated in Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia stated during his meeting with international donor organizations representatives.

According to  Karapetyan, currently 5 PIU (Project Implementation Units) are already stopped. The Prime Minister offered to discuss the issue. "We want to do our work more effective," Karen Karapetyan said, accentuating the priorities while attracting capitals and implementing loan projects. "You know that our foreign debt is at a pretty high level, and we want to discuss  with you and to set the priorities and the rules of  game that will be applied to loans later.  It is important for us to clarify the issue, which credits are of first priority for us, and which projects will be funded."

Karen Karapetyan informed that by the end of the Year a Center of Strategic Initiatives will be established and, according to Karapetyan, it might be also characterized as a reforms center, within the framework of which the Republic will cooperate with  al the stakeholders, including private sectors.
