ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) informs that holders of Mastercard and Maestro can receive money transfers from Russia easily, safely and conveniently via "VK" (Vkontakte) social network. Due to this service both the sender and recipient will save their time and resources sending and receiving money in any convenient place twenty four hours a week without visiting the Bank's branches. The transfers can be made in Russian Rubles. The minimal amount of transfer is 100 RUR, the maximum amount-75 thousand RUR, the press-service of the bank informs.
In order to send a transfer the sender should choose recipient in VK network, enter his/her profile and twrite in "Message" the amount of transfer and the number of the card, from which the money will be sent. The sender does not need to know the card number of recipient and his/her name, surname.
According to the source for receiving transfer recipient should enter his/her profile in VK network, choose the sender's message and click on "Receive transfer" button, to enter the number of own card and the date of its expiry, after which transfer will be credited to the account.
Transfers are free for recipient, while due to the Mastercard's campaign till the end of the year transfers from Mastercard and Maestro will be free for sender also. Besides, each week if receiving transfer on Mastercard and Maestro recipient gets a set of stickers as a gift.

According to ArmInfo's Analytical Review "Armenian Banks in Card Business", VTB Bank (Armenia) retains leadership on the market of plastic cards both by the number of cards and the amount of transactions. By 1 October 2016, the number of active cards of the Bank made up 518 thsd, 79% or 408 thsd are Visa cards. In year-over-year terms VTB Bank (Armenia) increased the total number of active cards by 12.1% due to 4.5-fold growth of MasterCard number amid decline of Visa cards by 4.5%. The total amount of transactions in 9 months of 2016 totaled 160 bln AMD with 11.5% growth over year, 147 bln AMD of which are ATM transactions (with 9.1% y-o-y growth). By 1 October 2016, VTB Bank (Armenia) had 156 ATMs and 346 POS-terminals. Before 2013 the Bank issued and served Visa international cards. In September 2013, it became a principal member of MasterCard and started issuing and serving Cirrus/Maestro, MasterCard Standard and MasterCard Gold cards. Along with it, the Bank serves ArCa local cards and has its own processing center.
