ArmInfo. Based on audit of Armenian Control Chamber State Interests Protection Department of Armenia's General Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case against Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) on the fact of abusing official position, particularly violations and abuses have been registered in management of property and state funds. According to the official statement of Armenia's Control Chamber the case was initiated based on Article 214 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia and the Investigative Committee of Armenia was assigned to hold preliminary investigation of the case.
As a result of audit of financial economic processes, the Investigative Committee has revealed a number of violations in organization of procurements, inventory, signing labor contracts, payment of premiums and traveling allowances.
According to the source the draft conclusion of the examination was presented to EIF, which has not anyhow commented or objected to it.
To note, Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) is one of the largest technology business incubators and IT development agencies in the region, operating in Yerevan, Armenia. Established in 2002 by the Armenian government within the framework of the World Bank's "Enterprise Incubator" project, EIF is called to support the development of information and communication technology sector in Armenia through creating a productive environment for innovation, technological advancement and company growth.
