ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia has manned stations at some customs offices on the pre-holiday and holiday days.
The press office of the Committee has told ArmInfo that by the instruction of the Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and by the order of the Committee Chairman Vardan Harutyunyan, stations will be manned on December 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31 2016, as well as on 3-8 January 2017 from 10am till 4pm to ensure uninterrupted customs registration of the goods transported via the customs border by the economic entities and individuals.
The information about the duty schedule has been provided to the foreign trade entities, individuals and customs representatives, and the contact data of the responsible persons are posted on the announcement boards at the customs offices.
To recall, on Dec 8 Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan instructed State Revenue Committee head Vardan Harutyunyan and Central Bank chairman Arthur Javadyan to provide uninterrupted services to the economic entities during the New Year holidays. The Prime Minister said this will allow realizing the current opportunities, the weak sides and the necessary steps to be taken to remove the flaws.
