Armenia state entities optimization continues: AMD 137 mln saved this time

ArmInfo. The process on PIU  optimization continues  in Armenia.  Regular reductions were  announced by the Ministry of Transportation, Communications and IT  and the State Cadastre on Real Estate under the Government. The  corresponding resolutions are already adopted at the Government  session on December 15.  

At the Government session the Ministry of Transport,  Telecommunications and IT came out with a suggestion to join two  entities in one. According to Vahan Martirosyan statement, the  unification of "North-South Road Program State Non-Commercial  Organization" and Ministry of Transportation PIU is planned.  Following Martirosyan, on this basis a new Unit  on Transport  Projects  Implementation  will be set, and an amount of AMD 107 mln  will be saved, the staff  positions will be reduced from 46 to 37,  and outsourced positions - from  19 to 6. 

The State Cadastre on Real Estate under the Government of Armenia  alos suggested to join two entities. As Martin Sargsyan, the Head of  the State Cadaster, two RI units ( Traning Center and Geodesy and  Cartography Center) will be joint in one, with corresponding  reduction of 20 staffing positions.
