ArmInfo. Out of 521 registered large taxpayers 296 are in risk zone. Among these risks are hidden turnover, inaccurate price declarations and reduction of tax obligation at the expense of unreasonable increase of expenses, the statement of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia reads.
However, according to the source in 11 months of 2016 296 organizations have transfered by 12.6% more tax incomes to the state budget compared to the previous year. According to the Head of the Large Taxpayer Inspection Department Rafik Mashadyan the actions of the tax bodies especially in the latest months are aimed at preventing illegal activities rather then using fine sanctions without notification. ''For this purpose all the subdivisions performing analytical and control functions assess the risks and present them to the organizations at the sectoral and individual meetings that started in October'', Mashadyan said.
After notification meetings some of the organizations have fully or partially changed their approaches to tax obligations, while the others have not. Among the companies, which are more subject to risks are importers, as among them 111 out of 155 taxpayers are in the category of high risk. The health care sector is the next, where 4 out of 5 taxpayer organizations are risky. 5 out of 7 diary producers are also risky. The sector of communications and banking are non risky in the context of document flow.
''The Committee's work is aimed at creating equal tax environment for the entities, as operation in shadow hinders development of competitive climate", Mashadyan said.
Gazprom Armenia CJSC retains its leadership among the largest taxpayers in Armenia. Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Complex, Grand Tobacco rank next, which ensured 5.2% growth of tax yield. According to the Inspection Department's data in 2016 the tax return will total 436.5 bln drams, which is by 22 bln drams more than in 2015.
As ArmInfo was informing earlier, on September 15 Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan instructed the State Revenue Committee to check the work of all the large and medium enterprises in Armenia. According to him this work should be carried out within fighting against corruption. He demanded to reveal all those largest producers and importers, who are in the risk zone.
