ArmInfo. New SME program starts in Armenia. The project funded by EU, German Ministry of Economic Partnership and Development of Germany and implemented within the Project of Southern Caucasus Private Sector Development under Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), within the cooperation of Enterprises Incubator, announced launching the Scientific and Technological Enterpreneurship Project (STEP).
As ArmInfo was informed at GIZ press office, The Small and Medium Enterprises Support Armenian Project is a part of EU4Business and EU4Innovations initiative. The project is aimed at support of innovation based entrepreneurship, and also startups support, innovators, scientists and engineers promotion at the market, at joint ventures establishment in Armenia.
The contest is open for startupers teams comprising 2-3 members, developing ideas in architecture, clean technologies and biotechnologies. Applicants should be Armenian nationals or at least have permanent residence status in Armenia.
The STEP is implemented in Armenia since 2006 by the Enterprises Incubator fund in cooperation with civil researches center of USA (CRDF Global) and Armenian Ministry of Economic.
