ArmInfo. Russian Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications Nikolay Nikiforov met with Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan. The sides discussed the countries' interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), as well as possible bilateral cooperation in ICT.
As the press office of the Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications reports, Nikolay Nikiforov noted that one of the most important issues of Russia-Armenia cooperation is the implementation of the EEU digital agenda.
Russia and Armenia are actively cooperating in the field of ICT. Russian and Armenian communication operators and postal operators are actively interacting, Armenian citizens attend study at a number of universities providing ICT education, including the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics. Vahan Martirosyan expressed his desire to see more Russian participants in the Armenian IT market. He also hopes the cooperation between the Russian and Armenian universities will be expanded.
