"I root for our teams", CEO of Beeline Armenia Andrey Pyatakhin said answering to ArmInfo's question during a briefing on the sidelines of regional semi- final of Eurasia Mobile Challenge international contest kicked off in Yerevan on January 25. At the same time the CEO noted that 3 winner teams will be selected who will get an opportunity to attend Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where the final of the contest will be held.
"I believe that the Armenian team will win its trip ticket. I root for our teams. I have not been included in the jury so it's a fair play. In any case the international speakers, who will make speeches today sharing their experience with young entrepreneurs related to business development, attracting funds and a number of other issues already make a great contribution in the future of our country", he stressed. According to him 3 teams from Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan are taking part in the regional stage of the contest. The committee has chosen the three best teams of Armenian young entrepreneurs-"Earlyone", "Terreva" and "Cerifire" out of 58 registered teams to participate in the regional semi-final.
Mikhail Gerchuk, Chief Executive Officer Eurasia, VimpelCom Group noted for his part that Eurasia Mobile Challenge gains momentum considering the growth of applications number. Thus, according to him last year there were more than 600 applicants for participating in the international contest, the second annual contest attracted 1 thousand applications, and Armenia was in the lead by their number.
"I am very glad that this year the contest is being held in Armenia. Armenia is a country with numerous international ties and has a great number of young promising entrepreneurs. I hope that the Armenian teams will achieve victory on their native soil", he said.
To note, Eurasia Mobile Challenge contest launched in July 2016 is implemented within "Make your Mark" global strategy of Vimpelcom. Representatives from Armenia, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan have taken part in the contest.
