ArmInfo.The Ministry of Finance of Armenia pays an exclusive attention to the corruption struggle, and takes the steps necessary to secure the transparency and conflict of interests preventing tools implementation. This was stated yesterday by Armenian Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan during his meeting with NGO's representatives.
According to the press office of Armenian Finance Ministry, the financial entity of Armenia together with Armenian association of lawyers developed a concept document reflecting 36 suggestions in respect to corruption struggle. 18 of 36 suggestions are implemented already, 6 are included in the Government program and are categorized as the priorities of the Finance Ministry. Four suggestions were rejected due to the simple reason that there are other tools set for risks reduction. Another one suggestion nneds to be discussed over, and 7 suggestions are represented in the largest aspect, and exceed the limits of procurement flows.
According to Aramyan, the Ministry has studied the international experience and practice, and based on that an essential step was taken in the field of public procurement regulations. Based on three main principles - transparency of procurement procedures, public aware and implementation of new forms of responsibility, the Ministry of Finance expects the essential reduction of corruption risks in the aspect of public procurement.
